In Nairobi

We arrived last night with all our personal luggage intact.  All 26 tubs of supplies and the guitar are still in London. Hopefully they will come tonight.  Did not have much feel for what time was what.

We had a good night's rest at the Methodist Guest House and are soon heading out for some grocery shoppig and then the three hour ride to Nyeri.

Worried that the internet connectivity at Tumaini will be spotty but we'll find a way to post occassionally.

Love and Peace to all.

Look at the bright side ... at least you have clean underwear!

May God bless you during your time in Nyeri.

awrewCongratulations to all of you for arriving safely. I guess it is now time to get really creative since you may be without the tubs for a while. Let Will entertain w/ singing and Julie dancing . . . or vice versa! This is Julie's sister. My Sunday school class, as well as others, keep you in their prayers.

It is so good to hear every day from the Meadows Mission Team! We are right there with you. I am praying for your stamina as you both work, teach, and play. Pacing yourselves is important. VBS will bless everyone. We hope the TUBS appear...it will be OK! You are all talented, as are your students! HE is there! Margaret

As the team is having trouble getting internet access, I thought I would let everyone know that the tubs arrived Sunday after church. Tim McConnell preached(with maybe 24 hours' notice) and really spoke God's message to the congregation. Praise God! After worship services at the central parish church, the mission team broke-up into smaller groups to worship in 4area churches (in their native tongues). After lunch they started dealing with the tubs of things and prepare for VBS.
God's blessings to all who are reading this.

Tim, Abigail and Team:
Your mission has started. I am sure you and your team are exhausted and overjoyed at the same time. I pray that you find some Team Time to share your feelings and reflections of the trip so far. Our team to Togo had trouble explaining to our hosts that we needed "alone time." I pray that translations, customs, cultures and expectations are clear and helpful. God bless you all and center yourselves in Christ. Remember to "Be still and know He is God". He will take care of every detail and not fail you. Have fun. Vicky
